Shots from a double-decker bus in Washington DC…
it was like 5729 degrees so if they look strange…it’s because my brain was cooking!!!
Enjoy!!!
See, this lady was 16 when we started…that’s what hot brains do to you!!!
Nice buildings…my fried brain doesn’t know what any of them are!!! (I think the bottom middle
one is the Lincoln Memorial…Zoe told me that and she stayed home!!!)…
Lincoln Memorial from that bus…
Arlington Cemetery
Ok, I'm cracking up at the 16 year old on top of the bus! Also, my daughter and I just saw our first Morkie at the airport this weekend. So, Cute! Thanks for following!
ReplyDeleteYou got some wonderful pictures for someone whose brain was fried. I think Washington in the summer is even worse than Memphis -- and that's saying something!
ReplyDeleteI love these places. Arlington...what a special place. I will never forget going there as a child.
ReplyDeleteOh --I'm so sorry it was SO hot... I know that took its toll on many people... Your pictures are great though.. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Betsy
my brain melted.
ReplyDeleteGreat shots! :) Sorry about your brains...;)
ReplyDeleteGreat shots. Sorry about the heat, but we had one of those summers; at least you were in Norther VA where it was a little cooler.
ReplyDeleteDarryl and Ruth : )
What terrific pictures!
ReplyDeleteI will never forget my trip to Arlington when I was a kid.
I can not wait to go back when my kids are old enough:)
Too bad it was so hot on the bus, but you sure captured some beautiful pictures!
ReplyDeleteI haven't been to Washington since 1995 when we had one of our annual forensic nursing conferences in nearby Virginia. I was honored with an achievement award at that conference. It was a sad time for us since it ws just post Katrina and Rita was bearing down on Galveston and Beaumont. My dear friend who was my roommie at the conference and also an award recipient was so preoccupied because she was from Beaumont and anxious about her home and agency. We did get out for a short D.C. city tour and a visit, especially, to the Vietnam nurses memorial.
ReplyDeleteHi Becky! Oh, I hope your little fried brain has cooled down now! Even with your friedness - your photos are so lovely! We love to go to D.C.! There's so much to see and do!
ReplyDeleteThanks for popping in to see me.
be a sweetie,
shelia ;)
Hi! I am so glad that you included a picture of Audie Murphy's grave. I had such a crush on him from old movies when I was a young girl in the sixties. I read his book about his battlefield experiences and didn't know he was buried at Arlington.
ReplyDeleteI went on a DC Ducks tour last year and went passed the same sites. We really enjoyed it so much. Are you from there or did you just visit?
Anyway, thanks for the tour!
(Yes, that is the Lincoln Memorial)
