We recently had a terrible ice storm in the Mid South...it has left many homes without power even now. Our neighborhood had some homes who were without power for several days but a few miles north of us, it is pure devastation.
The lack of power and water for so many people is heartbreaking. So many families are suffering in so many ways with these hardships. My pictures today show some of the beauty of this ice storm but I know many people who have seen no beauty in it.
I've recently seen hundreds of power trucks from all over the US arrive here to help. The generosity of the "good samaritans" who are working to put our world back together is overwhelming. We have truly seen God's hand orchestrating this catastrophe and have witnessed the miracle of ordinary people helping each other.
