Welcome to my little “Rooster Party”…the party may be little but that rooster…

let’s just say that his growth has not been stunted!!!

Cousin “Fred the Farmboy” might be bringing him…

imageThis little teapot jumped at the chance to come to the party…she even brought her baby chick!!!

imageThey came dressed in their finest yellow and orange silks for this special day!!!

image They are so excited to come today…they came all the way from the thrift shop where they

had been so bored for so long!!! A little fluffing of their feathers and some new silk clothes were all they needed…

imageTheir friend “Red Rooster” is struttin’ his stuff to get to the party on time,

he is coming from the same thrift shop but was living on another shelf…

image Isn’t he a strutter…looking good on his special platter???

image He came all the way from California!!! He calls home “Poppy Trails by Metlox”…

image I think everyone is here…have a seat!!!

image

image I decorated your chair with a couple of “roosters”…

image Those Daisy dishes and crystal work well with our “chicken” dessert bowls…

image Your natural fiber placemat and vintage silver are in place…

image The “City Cousins” are cooped up in the picket fence tray…

image Vintage silver is tied with twine along with your napkin…

image Sunflowers accentuate the little “Brown Hen’s Table Cover”…

The tablecover is a specialty of Lowe’s Professional Painting Tarps…

image Keeping these two behind the picket fence is necessary…

image No party is complete with out our stars…”Salt and Peppa”

This Rooster Party stars the following…

Fresh “Lettuce” Salad with Fresh Tomatoes

  1. Oh, Becky! This is a wonderful post for the party! You're good and early! I'm not quite ready yet! I love that olden postcard but your tablesetting is Cockadoodlelicious! I love every single piece! That little tea pot with the tiny chick lid is adorable and does look rather olden! Love it! Love the stars - Salt & Peppa! Fabulous. You know I love the yard birds.

  4. I've always loved the old Poppy Trails pattern. Used to see lots of it in the second hand and consignment shops but not so much anymore... Guess maybe everyone else loved it and bought it.

Thanks for the lovely e-mail by the way. Sending a hug your way!

  6. Wow Becky..... You did GREAT decorating with that theme. Bet there cannot be a rooster party any better than yours..... I'm so impressed....

Hope the big one doesn't come though --since he would eat ALL of the food himself.... ha ha ha

  7. Love the "struttin' rooster" on the platter. I saw one at a booth in a fav store last week but didn't buy the plate. I may have to go back and get it, having seen yours... The teapot is adorable and I really like how you placed the tea towels on the back of the chairs. The entire setting is so fun!

  14. Oh my goodness, I am completely delighted! It's taking me forever to get through the tablescapes, and this one is definitely one of my favorites if not "the" favorite so far. I love your attention to detail. The chairs? Adorable! The vintage mixed with twine and other ordinaries? Perfect.

Your plates are even different from what you generally see. I love this.
