Welcome to my little “Rooster Party”…the party may be little but that rooster…
let’s just say that his growth has not been stunted!!!
Cousin “Fred the Farmboy” might be bringing him…
This little teapot jumped at the chance to come to the party…she even brought her baby chick!!!
They came dressed in their finest yellow and orange silks for this special day!!!
They are so excited to come today…they came all the way from the thrift shop where they
had been so bored for so long!!! A little fluffing of their feathers and some new silk clothes were all they needed…
Their friend “Red Rooster” is struttin’ his stuff to get to the party on time,
he is coming from the same thrift shop but was living on another shelf…
Isn’t he a strutter…looking good on his special platter???
He came all the way from California!!! He calls home “Poppy Trails by Metlox”…
I think everyone is here…have a seat!!!
I decorated your chair with a couple of “roosters”…
Those Daisy dishes and crystal work well with our “chicken” dessert bowls…
Your natural fiber placemat and vintage silver are in place…
The “City Cousins” are cooped up in the picket fence tray…
Vintage silver is tied with twine along with your napkin…
Sunflowers accentuate the little “Brown Hen’s Table Cover”…
The tablecover is a specialty of Lowe’s Professional Painting Tarps…
Keeping these two behind the picket fence is necessary…
No party is complete with out our stars…”Salt and Peppa”
This Rooster Party stars the following…
Menu
Fresh “Lettuce” Salad with Fresh Tomatoes
Corn on the Cob
Whole Grain Bread
White Hominy
Fried “Corn” Bread with Farm Fresh Butter
Corn Pudding

Oh, Becky! This is a wonderful post for the party! You're good and early! I'm not quite ready yet! I love that olden postcard but your tablesetting is Cockadoodlelicious! I love every single piece! That little tea pot with the tiny chick lid is adorable and does look rather olden! Love it! Love the stars - Salt & Peppa! Fabulous. You know I love the yard birds.

ReplyDeleteI've always loved the old Poppy Trails pattern. Used to see lots of it in the second hand and consignment shops but not so much anymore... Guess maybe everyone else loved it and bought it.

Love the "struttin' rooster" on the platter. I saw one at a booth in a fav store last week but didn't buy the plate. I may have to go back and get it, having seen yours... The teapot is adorable and I really like how you placed the tea towels on the back of the chairs. The entire setting is so fun!
