Sunflowers Make Me Happy!!!

image
The weather has been so hot today that I’ve stayed inside most of the day…
I did go out to take my dogs and to keep the water filled for the birds and squirrels…
I didn’t want to do housework so I played …again…
With Picasa today…
image Graduated Tint and a film grain was used here along with a crop and some color tweaking…
image The original …
image
I didn’t do anything to this one…came straight out of the camera like this…
imageThis time I took the same photo and added a little fill light, a little high light and took the color spectrum toward the blue side…
It doesn’t even look like the same photo!!!
image I applied the filtered Black and White this time…sorta hurts to take all that glorious color away!!!
image
Here I deepened the shadows and added a little light…You just can’t improve on Mother Nature!!!
imageThis is the untouched version…
image Sepia tone, darken shadows and color temp all the way to red side… I sorta like this one…
If I was going to paint from this photo I would use this version since it shows the color delineation areas well…
image
I added the soft focus here and deepened the shadows to the photo that was above this one…
I can’t tell a lot of difference…
Thanks for visiting and I guess I will have to tackle a little bit of that darn housework now!!!

  7. These are such nice photographs! I love sunflowers and they were my mom's favorite flower so growing up they were always around the house. Now I think of her when I have a bunch in a jug or a vase. It looks like you had fun playing around with the features at picasa!
Thanks for linking up at Heart and Home!

I, too, love sunflowers...wonder why I've never tried to grow them in my tiny garden.? Gotta get some seeds to do that very thing.

  16. Love to see how creative you were with your sunflower images. They make me happy, too! Photography and editing is really an addiction you know! I get up early and either post to my blog, work on my images or go out to photograph something and I'm always bargaining with myself..."O.K. just 15 more minutes, then I'll start the laundry." Ha
