Some Pretty Good Snaps…

Last year was my first summer with a real camera, my Canon Rebel and I didn’t think I would ever get better photos of flowers…until this year…I got a few snaps recently…they were not my flowers since the weather and the bugs have pretty well wreaked havoc with things around my house this year but I have enjoyed these snaps…

  6. I have a 35 mm Canon EOS Rebel, with different lenses, that I rarely used before digial came out. Subsequently, I got my Canon digital - Power Shot S3IS which has been great.

Your flowers are just beautiful. It's amazing at the quality and clarity...especially fun doing macros.

  8. These are lovely... especially the Calla Lily. A neighbor gave us one last year that we planted out front... the deer ate it down to nubbins last year so I'm hoping for a better experience this year.

  10. I love your flower shots! I always envy someone who has a "real" camera. I'm waiting for that day, but right now I have to make do with my digital. (I wouldn't know how to use the real one anyway.) Beautiful. I hope you won't have problems with your garden next year!

  15. Becky, your photos are so beautiful!!! We gave our daughter a Nikon 5000? for graduation this year and I have enjoyed using it, but I really need to learn how to take some good photos with it!
Thanks for the nice comment on my Home Tour.
Regarding the Japanese beetles. I buy a systemic liquid in a blue container from Lowe's. I think it's made by Bayer. I pour it below the shrubs and trees that the Japanese beetles like and they take a few bites and DIE :) It is a little pricey, but it lasts for a whole 12 months and you just repeat it every spring.
