Woo Hoo…what a night!!!

Several weeks ago I blogged about meeting with some friends concerning a school reunion. One of these people came up with the idea of having a reunion of everyone who had ever attended our local high school. This was a very big undertaking that turned out beautifully.

There were a few more that left early or came in late that I didn’t get photos of…We had wonderful entertainment…

image

Kevin Black was there live and in person…Kevin is Clint Black’s brother and a wonderful entertainer in his own right. He didn’t have his band with him this time but is scheduled to come back with his entire band soon…

Kevin has a favorite charity and is involved in a lot of work with them. Unfortunately Kevin lost his 16 year-old daughter to Rett's Disease. In her memory, and for the hope of those girls who get the disease, Kevin and Clint do a benefit every year to raise money for a cure at the Dosey Doe in Texas.

The lady in the middle was a great friend of mine that I haven’t seen in ages…we didn’t graduate the same year so this reunion made our meeting possible…

  1. I just love to see those old pictures. That is a great looking bunch of folks. That was quite an undertaking to have the entire school. I went to a small private school and there were only 18 in my graduating class. I graduated in 1956. Only been back for one reunion. Most of my classmates were from out of town, since it was a boarding school. We were called day students. Great old times. Thanks for sharing.

  3. Everyone wore their hair in a flip at that time. I was a freshman in 1969 and in my photo in the annual I had a flip hairdo also, as did all the other gals. It was a cute do!

  7. Becky and I have been friends since High School.
We lost touch till about 6 years ago. She was brought back into my life. She has become my best friend. We have shared a number of life events in the past years. But the reunion was one on the greatest event. She is a talented writer, artist and person.

Becky ...The First OCCHS Alumni Reunion....what a night to remember ....so glad to see so many of the Class of 1970...what a group we were!!! We all came together in 1966 from all different walks of life and became one united group of classmates. No matter how far apart or how long it's been, we all seem to enjoy each other's company when we do get together. May God Bless each and every OCCHS Alumni & their families and may we all live to enjoy another night together. I consider the Class of 1970 my FOREVER FRIENDS and look forward to our 40th reunion in 2010.

  9. It looks as if the reunion was a huge success. You would have fit very nicely into my high school with that hairdo.
