It’s All About the Lemonade…

A sunny summer day in June should be perfect picnic weather…NOT…it was so hot when I shot these photos that the ice in the lemonade melted almost instantly, so think cool thoughts when viewing these photos…

Ice cold lemonade is the perfect summer drink for a picnic…

Lemonade

  • 6 lemons (juice of 6 lemons)
  • 1 cup sugar, or to taste
  • 4 cups cold water
  • 1 lemon, cut crosswise into very thin slices

Preparation -
Mix the lemon juice and sugar together in a large pitcher. Stir to dissolve all the sugar, then add the water. Serve over ice. Place a lemon slice on top of each glass before serving.

Stir 2 tablespoons of grape juice into 2 quarts of fresh lemonade for just the right shade of pale pink. Chill and serve.

Everything except the vintage glass jar and silverware came from Goodwill…(the checked towels came from Dollar Tree)
