Thrifty Treasures Every Monday Post

image

Rhoda has a new meme…sounds like it fits me to a T…my favorite way to shop…

My husband and I and our best friends had Saturday night dinner at our house this weekend…my friend Jackie, cooked so I got to get out the new GW finds from this week, all I had to do was play with the dishes and bake a chocolate cake…

I got four of these Jewel Tea dinner plates for eight dollars…the candleholders were purchased for Easter…

The deep red plates that I used for chargers were an earlier GW purchase as were the stemware…

I also found three of these floral plates and four of the clear salad/dessert plates…I did a post on Friday with some of these pix if you’d like to see more go here

This pretty little silver basket is perfect for a few lemons or a few flowers (boy was it a job to clean)…

  3. Oh, my goodness, that Jewel Tea pattern was my grandmother's pattern. She bought it all from the Jewel Tea man and had everything! So nostalgic! Good find. Linda

  9. Hi Becky,
I'm visiting from Rhoda @ Southern Hospitality
and wanted to tell you how much I'm enjoying
your site. I can't believe you got the 4 jewel
tea plates for only $8. I collect the blue
bubble dishes and you really got a bargain with
them, also. I like how you put the bubble with
the pretty floral plates. I'm going to do that
with some of my floral plates. Thanks for the
    idea! :)
