Outdoor Wednesday Post for Susan @ A Southern Daydreamer’s Home…
I got my camera in January and I haven’t been successful at getting any shots of our squirrels until now…They live in our backyard and are a joy to watch. These white squirrels are not as large as the usual red and brown squirrels but it is so exciting to see them. There are lots of them, I have always thought of them as "families" and as far as I know, they are not albino, just white. I love seeing them raise their babies during the summer and playing together.
Nooooo, this isn’t a squirrel, this is Zoe and her attitude toward all squirrels…
Happy “23”
We had a white squirrel in our backyard once. I haven't seen one since - yours is a cutie!
ReplyDeleteHappy Outdoor Wednesday Becky! Oh my...white squirrels! Great pictures! Thanks for sharing your photos.

What fun pictures! My daughter's college campus had an albino squirrel, they made him their dorm's unofficial outdoor mascot. Thanks for sharing these. Kathy

Hi Becky! I don't think I've ever seen a white squirrel in person or in a photo. Fabulous!!

I'm guessing it's handsome young mans 23rd birthday! Happy B-day. My youngest turned 23 in December, pretty young lady...

Wow! I've never seen white squirrels before. Very cool!
ReplyDeleteThe only white squirrel I ever saw was a white flying squirrel at a place we camped at in Missouri -- it nearly landed on my husband! He is so cute -- and I do like squirrels even though they are really rodents -- but they are cute rodents!
ReplyDeleteI have NEVER seen a white squirrel---are you sure it wasn't a really funny shaped white rat? :-) Honestly, they are amazing! And so is that cute Zoe and #23!!! Happy WW. dana
ReplyDeleteI didn't know that there were white squirrels. I gather that they are not albino?
ReplyDeleteWow! I have never in all of my life seen a white squirrel! I'm just amazed! I've seen gray ones and even red ones, but white ones are something I didn't even know existed! I love them! And Zoe is a hoot... my dogs used to get perturbed by them as well. :-)
ReplyDeleteHappy OW!
XO,
Sheila :-)
I wonder where you live and have white squirrels? This is a first for me. Pets and squirrels just bug each other don't they!

Awesome! Have never seen a white one, but when we lived in Maryland coal black ones were common in our neighborhood... Here in Roanoke they are the common gray/brown ugly squirrels....

Oh cute! There were white squirrels a few blocks from where I grew up. They were all in the block around my elementary school. It was fun to get a glimpse of them from time to time. There were flying squirrels too. Teachers used the opportunity to discuss science and genetics.
ReplyDeleteOh how cute! Ours are only the regular colored ones....Christine
ReplyDeleteWe saw a white squirrel up in Hayward, Wisconsin area; but last summer it was gone. I had never seen one before and now yours is the second white squirrel. After getting off the floor from laughter when Zoe showed up, I have to admit this post was a lot of fun! Happy Outdoor Wednesday!
