Playing In The Sunshine

image
I was outside thawing water out for the birds and squirrels this morning and decided I would pick
some things I had in the yard for a Christmasy bouquet…I cut cedar from a tree line,
nandina berries and leaves and  some varigated ivy
from the front porch. I also added some curly willow branches.

image
Michael bought me some pomegranates last week so I added them and got out some silver
pieces that I had polished this weekend.

image
I sat my silver coffee pot on a couple of recently painted mirrors and placed all of it on an old
sofa table that used to belong to my Mom (She would have
had a fit if she knew that I painted it white and distressed it).

Now I get to the fun part…lots of photos here of my little vignette…of course
I should have been getting ready for a dinner meeting for tonight but
geeezzzeee the sun was shining in the window!!!

Southern Folks…

Once again I’ve been so fortunate to get a lot of wonderful shots
of a lot of wonderful Southern people
this weekend. If you’re looking for your photo
please continue to come back since it will take me some
time to get them all up.

I’ve posted many photos of events held at my friends’ Jackie and Lou’s home.
This weekend their home was featured on a tour of Christmas Homes in our town .
We all expected a hand full of people to visit
but were surprised to host around two hundred guests…
I didn’t get to shoot as many photos as I would like to have but
I sure got to visit with a lot of people that
I haven’t seen in a long time.
It was also so nice to talk to so many people who had known my parents.
