I’m just a rusty blogger…rusty because I’ve just not had anything to blog about…
I dug through my files and found this photo…I don’t think I’ve posted it before…
We’ve had beautiful weather here in TN for this winter so it’s almost confusing.
Right now I’m involved in painting my red kitchen and dining room a soft buttery hue.
I’m enjoying the lightness but it is sure hard work…
This is the dark red color I’m covering…
no all those paint/primer combos did not work on this…
I’m painting it one coat at a time taking my time and for once
I’m pretty happy this is not a big ole room!!!
Leaving you with some shots from last year…hoping for some fun stuff to photograph and share with you soon!!!
Hi Sweetie...
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful share this evening. You are covering your red over? Oh my, I still have mine. Not ready to cover it yet, but I can't wait to see your buttery hue color coming. I know it will be gorgeous with your furniture.
Love your photos. They are so pretty. My favorite is the beautiful red flowers in your blue chair. How absolutely gorgeous. Thank you for sharing with me.
Have a glorious evening. Can't wait to see the new color all finished. Many hugs and much love, Sherry
THe pictures are all wonderful. I look forward to seeing that 'new' wall colour.
ReplyDeleteI feel for you, sister! :) My kitchen and breakfast room were red too and I repainted them a buttery yellow! Like minds. I used a primer that was supposed to help cover up all that red in one coat. Well, I added two and then I started painting the yellow on. I painted two coats and loved it. I do love red but I'm so enjoying the lighter brighter color. You will too. Love your pretty snaps - always. Don't work too hard.
ReplyDeleteBe a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
I am right there with you! I do not like to paint and I have several painting projects around here to be done. I really like the picture of the blue chair and red flowers.
ReplyDeleteYour photo's are beautiful. Been awhile since we visited. Lets do better. Richard from My Old Historic House.
