I’m not a very patient person…
Feels good to get that off my chest…
I think I used to be patient, but I don’t want to waste time figuring it out!!!
I live in the MidSouth…and this is not funny!!!
I shot this from my front room…because I wasn’t about to go outside…
Yep, I just open the door and give the dogs a little push and then shut
the door till they start scratching to get back in…
I made one good decision when I built this house…steel doors!!!
These photos were made this morning…it hasn’t stopped snowing all day!!!
This is what our weatherman forecast as “flurries”….
The birds and squirrels have packed their bags and left…
looks like they could have asked me to go with them
What do you call a blizzard in the South??? …a slizzard???
“Slizzard In The South”…sounds like a country music song!!!
I could have cleaned house today…during the slizzard…but instead I kept my pj’s
on all day…with some of Michael’s thick white socks…don’t worry, I keep a
plentiful supply of Clorox for days like this…(for the socks)…and played…
My make-do placemat and table runner while I’m slizzarding in Dixie…
Slizzards bring really weird light…and I don’t really have room for this little table…
What do I do in a Slizzard and don’t have room for a Valentine Tablescape???
I fake a wall…with a couple pieces of big posterboard
…didn’t help the weird light though!!!
Moving fake walls are easy…
don’t look at the puppy pad on the right, Miss Zoe doesn’t like
getting her belly frozen…and all the stuff on the sofas (I cover my
slipcovers with paint tarps when it slizzards in the South)
…uuuhhhmmmm I layer slipcovers…
That’s all the excuses I’m makin…for now…
Test shot…my assistant was giving orders…woof, woof…
Bokeh is my newest, bestest bff…
Camera magic!!!
Susan has more fun stuff…Between Naps On The Porch
and this is what is going on in my gardens and yard Tootsie…
I’m pretty sure Tootsie won’t have an ounce of pity for us caught in the Slizzard!!!
Lovely for two. I heard a new one what do you call dirty snow-- snert-- I also like your slizzard. We may get snow here in Marietta too
ReplyDeleteHappy V day!
I like the description -- 'Slizzard in the South'. You've gotten much more snow than we've gotten (and I hope it stays that way!). I like the photos you got with your fake walls.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness. We are supposed to get a little snow tonight and I hope they are right here. It better be a little. Lovely table.
ReplyDeleteWELL---we live in Dixie and we didn't get anything much, maybe a trace.. It always fizzles when it gets to the plateau when it comes from the west. Don't know why --but it does.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your slizzard...
Hugs,
Betsy
Once I stopped giggling at your commentary, I was able to stop and see what a lovely table you have.
ReplyDeleteEven in front of a poster board wall!
I love the plates in your place setting, and your your snow pictures are beautiful!
Beautiful snow pictures. Wegot rain, then a usting of snow and now back to rain. I am sure it will be a icy mess in the morning, but tommorow is my pajama day so no worries. The hub is in the delta on business and they have six inches there.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful table! Love the plates and placemats and the birds. I cannot believe you have this much snow. I live in the south too (MS) and the most snow we had did not even cover the ground, just the bushes. Hope you can stay warm!..Christine
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely idea to use upholstry webbing on the table.Loved it. Your table is lovely.
ReplyDeleteWe got snow here in North Arkansas too. We have 7 1/2 inches and I love it! It is so beautiful here in the Ozarks anyway and the snow just adds to the beauty. I love your little table setting.
ReplyDeleteI hear you sister!!! It is snowing here in Atlanta as I type. Enough. I digress. I came to tell you what a cute post you did. Jammie Days are the best!

You engaged in the perfect cold weather/"slizzard" activity! I know you guys aren't accustomed to that kind of weather at all and it just has to be devastating! In Missouri, we kind of look at it as "business as usual." Hope you guys thaw out soon! Happy Valentine's Day!
ReplyDeleteI've spent a couple of days in my pajamas, too...I consider it a form of vacation. We're on our second blizzard in seven days. We had a complete range of the four seasons. Your valentines table is lovely. I really like the tablecloth...taupe?...creates a wonderful contrast with your beautiful textured stoneware. Thank you for sharing your charming design and for stopping by my post. Cherry Kay
ReplyDeleteI hope you are staying warm with all that snow. Your table is very pretty and I especially like the green glassware you mixed in the setting....it adds a punch that is unexpected. A splash of color on a dreary day is always so cheerful. Hope you will stop by and visit me. I am new to blogging.
ReplyDeleteI'll have to remember that slizzard lol! I live in the mid south too, Virginia, we just got a dusting this am. Your pictures are beautiful, and that sweet tablescape was so beautiful. I love the white plates with the darling red heart, so sentimental, almost brings a tear to the eye :) in a good way, of course. The cloth really looks amazing, too, I wouldn't have thought of that, but it works well! Lovely!
ReplyDeleteYour slizzard photos are very beautiful (but I agree -- enough already with the wintry precip!). Loved the commentary and behind-the-scenes look at how you shot your tablescape photos. Beautiful photo collages! Mosaics I mean ... I think that's what they're called in Blogland now. Have a happy Valentine's Day!
ReplyDeleteBill
I felt right at home looking at your wintry pictures - we have the same scene outside our windows but I'm in Ontario.
ReplyDeleteYour Valentine tablescape is very pretty.
Your yard looks pretty in snow, and I really like your Valentine table. Can't wait to see your garden come spring; I think you'll like it better then too!
ReplyDeleteBlessings, Beth
Love your slizzard photos! And your sweet table.
ReplyDelete- The Tablescaper
Sounds like you had fun riding out the slizzard!
ReplyDeleteSlizzard is a very good word for snow as far south as you! Hopefully it won't last too long.
ReplyDeleteLove your table settings, so very perfect for Valentine's Day. Stay warm!
What a pretty slizzard table! The white with little touches of red are so beautiful! Love your bird napkin rings.
ReplyDeleteI love all your pics and your beautiful tablescape for a snowed in lady! I'm your newest follower. I love your white dishes, your heart place mats, and the birds. Really nice SLIZZARD DAY TABLE!
ReplyDeleteHope you come and say hello to me, I'd love to her from you.
HAPY VALENTINE'S
LOVE FABBY
beautiful table setting but yep those of us up N have little pity for a slizzard when we get lake effect snow by the feets...Ok we'll give you some pity :)
ReplyDeleteI hope you stayed warm and dry...and that you had a wonderful valentines day! thanks for linking in this week!!! see you again soon I hope!
