China and Dust Bunnies

I was forced to clean out my china cabinet recently…

how does dust get into a closed cabinet???

I moved everything out of the cabinet and onto the dining room table…

then I dusted the china and the china cabinet…

The inside of this cabinet is all glass and mirrors…

dust bunnies love it…(it must be warm)

Now I get to put it all back…somewhere

Isn’t my life exciting!!!

  1. What a beautiful collection of dishes you have. I love the way the light is playing through them, makes them glow so nicely. I know it's a chore to do this, but still a good reason to go over every piece and admire it all over again.

  3. Oh Becky, you have so many interesting and beautiful dishes!!!
I've wondered also..... how the heck does dust get in closed cabinets.
It sure is a good feeling to get the work done...

  4. Howdy, Becky! Ooh, you've been keeping all this beautifulness hidden from us! I love it. Look at all your pretty glassware. Your china cabinet is so pretty and I like how you've dressed it up!

  5. Beautiful. Getting to clean them all just shows their loveliness. I am often amazed at the places dust manages to accumulate.

  7. You've got some beautiful china, but I didn't see any pictures of the dust bunnies! We found some dust bunnies in the most unusual places while getting ready for Christmas.

  8. When getting ready for Christmas I too wondered how something that stayed closed most of the time could still get dusty. You have a beautiful collection! I am especially loving the milk glass!

  9. Your milk glass is superb. I love those glass baskets. My mom had a large white one that occupied the center of the table for as long as I can remember. Just lovely. Happy New Year. Jane

  10. Becky I had to do that before Thanksgiving! I couldn't believe how DIRTY everything was! Yuck... I put most everything in the dishwasher before returning it to the hutch ;) Your glass things are just beautiful... Thanks for stopping by my blog and commenting. I had to reach to my archives for photos that weren't "after" pictures this time because I haven't finished any jobs in a while to post about! Sometimes we have to get creative in order to keep posting new material here on our blogs :) Enjoy your holiday!

  11. Beautiful collection. I know what you mean about the dust bunnies-just try to think of them as a pet you don't have to feed!lol!
