This carousel is the first thing we saw when we entered the large attraction…awesome…
The sheer number of carousel animals around me put me into automatic sensory overload…
This the ladies room…hot pink seating and retro fashions …it also had floral paintings on the doors…
hot pink seating…built into the rocks…can’t say much more about it…
There were some pretty good paintings on the doors and walls…
I apologize for the photo quality but these were the worst photos I’ve ever taken …
…to top that off, I left my netbook computer in the hotel we stayed in which had all of my photos…
The good news…the nice people at the Candlelight Suites in Wisconsin shipped me my netbook…my thanks to them…
These are the vintage fashions featured in the ladies room…
I don’t recall any of the fashions but I did get a little nostalgic about the pink hula hoop…
I always loved the hula hoop…have you ever tried the hula hoop since you got …ahhh “grown-up”…
one of those mysteries of life…it doesn’t work any more!!! There should be a congressional study about why that happens!!!
This fountain/fire thingy was in the snack shop area…I didn’t need a snack but I sure needed to rest my tootsies!!!
That place is a pretty difficult days’ hike…
This is one of the many carousels that were there…lots of dolls…sorta creepy for me…but I’m a little opinionated about some things..
The carousels were gorgeous…it was just the dolls that made it strange…they did have lots of
gorgeous carousel animals on the walls and hanging from the ceilings…
They had quite a few Dragon statues…
This is a room-size music box thing…it was pretty neat…the guy in the middle played the big drum and
was an animated character…
How is this for a chandelier??? It is actually a group of many chandeliers and other things…
This link will tell you more about The House On The Rock, close to Madison, Wisconsin.
Wow---Becky, this is incredible... I'm sure it's one of those things you have to SEE to believe... That carousel is unbelievable---along with everything else... Thanks so much for sharing... I had never heard of The House on the Rock.... Wow!!!

What a wild and crazy place! Someone sure had a powerful imagination when putting it all together.
ReplyDeleteI kind of like the pink seats. It's rather cartoony.
