Beautiful! I did not know that Irises were Tennessee's state flower. Mine have been blooming quite awhile now so there are only a few white ones left that have not gone by. I miss them already!
Oooooh, Aaaah! So beautiful, all of them, but the purple ones takes the cake top! Every time I see them, I want to grow them, and today, you're just making me want to get on with my wanting even more ;-).
These just happen to be one of my favorite flowers. I wish the iris could bloom all summer long. I do have a re-blooming white iris but everything else just puts on that one blast of glory. Maybe that is why they are so special, plus the fact that they are so easy to grow. You have some beauties not to mention wonder photo skills. Mind if I follow along?
Becky, your iris are just SPECTACULAR!!! I didn't know it was TN state flower. Ohio's is a scarlet carnation. I must try to plant some!
Wonderful photos & I'm envious of your wide assortment of colors. I only have the little purple ones at this house. My Mom had tons of them & called them the "poor man's orchid". Thanks for sharing yours!
I just love the iris flowers and they are so intricate when you look down into their centres. You have an incredible collection and ever so pretty. My first iris bloom opened today from a dwarf iris so I must get out and take a photo of it.
Beautiful irises! Thanks for sharing them; I love to look at pictures of flowers, they are so lovely and the colors always make me happy. I only have a few in my garden but I don't know if they will bloom this year since I transplanted them to another spot.
