A Peony for Fertilizer Friday…it’s not mine but I was given permission to photograph it!!! Guess I’d better not be fertilizing someone else’s flowers…so I’ll just flaunt it…
I’m also linking to Melissa at The Inspired Room…this garden has been my inspiration today!!!
It doesn’t seem to be so beautiful from across the street …but this little corner of the world is just a plethora of beauty…I often drive by this little back street just to see the garden. This time I asked around and found out who owned it and asked permission to photograph it…You just won’t believe what this little piece of heaven has!!!
The lot this garden sets on is where an old “downtown” building was razed some years ago. All of our downtown buildings are quite old…pretty common for most small towns…
The peonies and the iris in the above photos were beautiful the day I visited.
This little arbor was just a hint of what was lurking behind the fence…
This climbing rose was growing up against the new steel wall that had been erected beside the old building wall…
I just love coreopsis…sometimes called tickseed!!!
See the fence behind the purple iris!!!
oooohhhh…the goodies in this basket…
This is the gated back entrance…
This is getting entirely too long…stay tuned next week for more shots of this hidden garden!!!
Thanks for sharing this beautiful garden with us. What a joy it must be to visit it in the midst of even a small town downtown! I look forward to more pictures.
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous garden, Becky... I can understand why you stop to see this garden often. Love the arbor--and all of the goodies in the garden. The cat house is precious. Thanks for sharing.

Beautiful flowers. I love that deep purple iris. I have 3 colors of purple irises in my garden but nothing like that. Love the peony too.
