What….Flea Markets, Yard Sales, Estate Sales…anything that smells of a bargain…it’s genetic…my husband says it’s a sickness :-(
If I hadn’t traveled to this flea market in a jet, I’d have bought some goodies…carry on baggage just doesn’t allow for many dishes!!!
GREEN POLKA DOTS!!!
Let’s purchase a hat so we won’t sunburn…I think I’ll have the green one on the right please!!!
I see a butter dish with green flowers, a green mixing bowl, and green shirts…I sure would have liked to buy that wooden rolling pin!!!
See those aluminum tumblers, my Mom had some when I was a child and I hated them…they sweated so bad!!! One of those tumblers is green!!!
I had so much fun watching this guy make doughnuts…maybe I was hungry…more green clothes!!!
See those lovely little gems…I can taste them now…he’s catching them with a green spatula/drainy thingy…
Let’s pull up a couple of those vintage chairs and prowl through all of that delightful vintage jewelry…I see a green necklace!!!
Such a delightful way to spend a day…green letters and trees!!!

This looks like so much fun. So did you buy anything at all. You really need to carry an extra suitcase just for treasures. lol Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteOh, I would have bought all kinds of stuff and shipped it home....looks like so much fun!
ReplyDelete!
I know what you mean about shopping out of town and can't carry the stuff on the plane. Bummer. I remember those tumblers, too. Your dog looks like my Baily. Is yours a silkie?
ReplyDeleteWell Becky---you need to come to Crossville the first full weekend in August for the biggest Yard Sale in the World.... It's the Highway 127 Yard Sale---which goes for miles and miles and miles for an entire weekend. Crossville is sorta in the middle I think..... Have you heard of it????? It is huge... You would be in hog-heaven.....
ReplyDeleteHappy St. Patty's Day. Wear your green...
Hugs,
Betsy
Such a cute post! Love those colorful hats! Enjoyed it!
ReplyDeleteHappy St. Patrick's Day! My car finds it hard to pass by a garage sale, flea market or estates sale. We must be relatives!

What a great sale! I saw all sorts of things I wanted!! Next time buy it and have it shipped to your house! :-)
ReplyDeleteI love a great flea market, unfortunately ours here in Roanoke is junk and nothing more. Phoenix, AZ had a great one years ago until it became over-run with commercial sellers rather than garage sale people. It was sad to see the true flea market style disappear. Yours looks great!!
ReplyDeleteWow, there was some great stuff there! I LOVE that red tea kettle. And I remember those aluminum tumblers so well, I actually loved them because they kept everything so icy cold. But sometimes your lip would stick to the rim :) Happy St. Patrick's Day. Kathy
ReplyDeleteHaha...love all the green! Happy St. patty's day! Too bad you didnt get to buy anything. Looks like fun!
ReplyDeleteYou have a heck of a lot more restraint than I do! I would have boxed it up and flown it home with me or shipped it! There were too many things that caught my attention in the third picture! One time when I was visiting family in CT, we stopped on the way to the airport at an antique store and I found some blue willow I just had to have. I had the woman double wrap the items and then we stopped at a store so I could buy something to use as a carry on. I am bad...
ReplyDeleteHappy St. Patrick's Day!

Great post! Sometimes the best part of yard sales, etc., is when we see something from our childhood.
ReplyDeleteThis is a wonderful post for St. Patrick's Day, as are the mosaics below. You really do need to come to Crossville in August to take part in the World's Longest Yard Sale.
ReplyDeleteThat doughnut costume is a hoot! Must be fun shopping at that flea market!
ReplyDeleteYou're my kinda gal! Love bargains and people hate me when I get them. I say, "all you have to do is look for them" but they're usually too impatient or lazy so they pay full price. Since I had a retail store....I never pay full price for anything!LOL! I'm finally in vogue....with the economy these days everyone is looking for a bargain basement price tag! Where was this festival/flee market? Unfortunately, you have to pay extra for baggage now so taking along another one just for these goodies is not feasible is it? You would pay more for the baggage than the actual find! LOL! It was like taking a trip down memory lane! I remember many of those items including the tumblers! Love the hats...my favorite...the pink with the green brim in the back or the top plaid to the right! Thanks for sharing! Have a wonderful day!
ReplyDeleteOh Ms Becky thank you for the delightful wedding wishes:) they brought a big smile!
ReplyDeletesimply fun, fun, fun post! oh what a great time ....yes, we must buy a hat, first thing...and then off we shall go...finding our treasures...our pot of gold...
LOL...
a nice way to celebrate...
spending the green lol
