Our high school class held another planning meeting Saturday night. There are lots of things to plan when you are having a fortieth year high school reunion. We held it at the home of Jackie and Lou and we all had a wonderful time.
Jackie and Lou have been so kind to welcome us into their home for our meetings and we all appreciate their hospitality so very much!!!
Our Class members posed on the stairway this time…
Class members and some spouses…
Another shot and we’re still missing Roy!!!
Here’s Roy and his sweetie Carolyn…he’s our very favorite basketball announcer around here!!!
I’ll leave you with a couple of shots of this beautiful home…
The fireplace in the library…

What a wonderful evening…good friends, good food…
Well---I may have told you but I'm 10 yrs older. We have our 50th high school reunion this coming summer. Since I don't live nearby --I'm not on the planning team, but I do hope to go...
ReplyDeleteYour group looks like a great group of friends.. Jackie and Lou's home is gorgeous.
Hugs,
Betsy
Didn't you just have your reunion a few months ago? Or do you just plan way ahead?

Thats a lot of work but a lot of fun. That is one big beautiful home. How nice to have meetings there. My 50th highschool reunion was held last August but I couldn't go because we were away on holidays..drat bad timing. However, I did help organise a college 45th reunion. It was a rewarding exercise.

Reunions are a tough one, trying to locate everyone, etc. I'm 52 and I am from a class of about 600 students. Many of us are on facebook and have signed up for the reunion group on facebook, which will make this next one SO MUCH EASIER. You all look like you're having a good time, and it is certainly a very beautiful home!
ReplyDeleteGuess what? It's my 40th High School Reunion too! Don't know if I'll go though. How nice for you to be helping out. Your friend's home is so beautiful! Loved seeing it.
ReplyDeleteBe a sweetie and you can always come over and help me paint! ;P
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)

Loved the blog about the reunion meeting Becky. I haven't had the time to download my pics yet so was glad to see yours on FB. We are so privileged to have our meetings at Lou & Jackie's lovely home and thank them for opening their home to us for this purpose. Also have enjoyed Lou & Mike being a part of our meetings.

I fell in love with the fireplace and the library. It's really beautiful. It's so nice to see a picture of good friends after forty years. I hope that someday, I could have that experience too.
ReplyDeleteIf the planning meetings are any indication, you should have a very successful class reunion.
