Tootsie, sorry, here I go again, bending your rules again…Since my allergies will not allow me in my own yard, I’m coming to you from Las Vegas…Now most people would go downtown to see the lights and casinos, not me, I had to find something for Fertilizer Friday…so here we go…straight from Red Rock Canyon…
We arrived here yesterday (Wednesday) and this morning I got up to relief from my allergies, I haven’t had a sneezing fit all day today…Cross your fingers for me!!! Hopefully I will stop having allergy fits for a few days.
I wish I could tell all of you what all of these plants are, but I can’t…so let’s just enjoy some photos, because it has been a beautiful day…
See in the foreground, plants…I’m pretty sure they’ve never been fertilized unless a stray burro mmmmmm walked by…
Yep, right over there to the right of center…I see greenery…sorta brownish greenery, but it’s definitely there…
This is definitely a tree!!! or a bush??? But Tootsie, its green!!!
Trees, not many, but they certainly are there…
I couldn’t resist a little sunflare fun here!!! (It sure doesn’t take much to entertain me.)
Yea Fertilizer Friday…an opportunity to show my vacation photos…
A group of energetic young hikers…as opposed to old, fat, lazy photographers…
The hikers were also “climbers”… eeks!!!
Look, Tootsie, I even found some blooms….at least I think they’re blooms…
Thanks Tootsie for hosting Fertilizer Friday (and allowing me to cheat…just a little).
Well---you are in a gorgeous area, Becky.. Yes, it's different and there are alot of 'rocks' out there (ha)---but maybe you can fertilize those crazy climbers and help them GROW ....
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Betsy
oh girl...you didn't bend too much! This is a beautiful post...I love your blooms. I can't even upload photos...Blogger is having a few issues tonight. I hope to get it done in the morning!
ReplyDeleteYou can link in any which way...if it grows...it qualifies!
have a great weekend!
Aren't those mountians a sight to behold? When we were there in March I was like a child with his face pressed against the car window. It was beautiful. The thing I found most interesting is the fact they have front yards full of gravel!!!!
ReplyDeleteHave a great time!!!
got ya all linked in! thanks for playing!
ReplyDeleteBecky, Every time I would cross that desert, I would marvel at the fortitude of the settlers. Driving across it in a car is tedious and intimidating. Can you imagine walking day by day, seeing nothing but desert for weeks on end? Truly frightening. Whenever I'm in that area, I am humbled by those who paved the way for us. Awesome pictures...
ReplyDeleteWe were there this Spring. I really enjoyed Red Rock Canyon. These are some great photos.
ReplyDeleteGlad you're getting allergy relief! The desert does do that. I believe you have some Yucca plants and some sage in your photos but I'm not positive. When I go through Nevada I do it as fast as I can or (when in Vegas) I find all the flower arrangements in the hotels which would not be helpful to your allergies.
ReplyDeleteIf you're staying actually in Las Vegas, go check out the Dolphin Habitat at the Mirage Hotel. It is one of my favorite things in the whole city. You get to watch them train and work with the dolphins!

Those photos are magnificent. Is it your camera or what you do with the pictures?

Love the pictures and I like to visit this area, but couldn't live there.
ReplyDeleteHope you had a great time.
