Our local congressman has refused to hold a town hall meeting and has substituted with a telephone town hall. The following pictures are of a rally trying to get this congressman to hold a real live town hall meeting.
This event was held in a beautiful little park in the downtown area.
The man speaking in this photo is the nineteenth most decorated soldier in the United States…he is a local HERO…
The American Hero is a friend of my personal hero, hubby…I wonder how many years of service to our country is shared by these two guys…hubby spent twenty-five years mostly UNDER the oceans of our world.
For more info on this rally go here http://www.nwtntoday.com/news.php?viewStory=30273…
This is a beautiful old fountain in this little park…I’ve always loved it.
I’m proud to call these two lovely ladies new friends, they live in a neighboring town that is included in our congressional district.
A local radio personality who says he is proud to be a West Tennessee resident.
Did I mention that it was HOT, HOT, Hot.
The phrase I kept hearing as I was among all of these people was… “I’ve never been to anything like this but everyone sure is nice.”
People liked the free bumper stickers from a local radio station.
I was standing behind these two people and they didn’t even know each other…what a photo opp!

Phone in calls? Is this guy kidding? Well just don't ever phone in any votes for this guy. Thanks for sharing your photos and we are headed to a rally in our area tomorrow but I am sure even if a whole lot of people show up the news media will play it all down.

Curious what town you live in. I think elected officials need to be as available for their constituents during times of conflict more so as when they are running for office.
ReplyDeleteI love these pictures so much! It's like they took place in Mayberry, with that gazebo, in the town square! Do you live in a small town? I just love to see people passionate about our country, and what's happening to it. Nothing worse than being a passivist!
ReplyDeleteYou go girl!!!
