Change!!!

Change is inherent in our lives…

Change is what the world is all about…

Change is something we have to endure, look forward to, reminisce about…

This is how my front yard has changed in a few short months…

  4. Woooooo Becky... I knew you all had a horrible ice storm --but I wasn't reading your blog then I guess. That is unbelievable.. AND--what is better is seeing how the trees have come back to life. God is Good!!!!!

Amazing photos. Thanks for showing us the comparisons.

You have a gorgeous yard with lots of beautiful flowers.

    Hugs,

  5. Hi Becky, I've never seen ice like that here in southern California! I love the picture of the icicle on the birdhouse. Brrrr, just looking at it makes me shiver!

  6. WOW! I really enjoyed this posting...very much. It reminds me of this scripture:

    Isaiah 55:12 (New International Version)

12 You will go out in joy
    and be led forth in peace;
    the mountains and hills
will burst into song before you,
and all the trees of the field
    will clap their hands.

And your bird house was quite striking in all three photos.

Was delighted to be welcomed by my favorite flower, this morning. Nice header...and the last few photos here warmed my heart, too.

  8. Your photos are awesome. I love th snow and ice
but I love the spring and summer shots. This winter was so cold and it seem to last longer.

  10. It is just an unbeleivable change. Your ice storm photos are amazing. It is hard to beleive that something so beautiful can do so much damage. Your gardens now are wonderful. I love the comparison between the two seasons.

  12. Interesting to see summer and winter - with the frosty tress all dressed in white and then in green,

  13. That is amazing! It is crazy how things come back to life. It reminds me of the faithfulness and goodness of God to always restore us to full beauty. I love the pictures of your flowers too. Gorgeous!

  14. I HATE ice storms. Your yard looked just like ours did (at our other home) in January of 2002. We were hit with the ice, then lost our power for 9 days. We just got the power on and, with the help of many friends with chain saws, cleaned up the mess of 7 huge trees that had been severely damaged by the weight of the ice. THEN my husband had a heart attack---9 days after the power came on--and triple bypass surgery! When ever I see pictures of ice storms, I just shiver from memories of a very bad time. BUT---just like you said, Change is what the world is about. We just have to learn to live with it and, sometimes, learn from the lessons the change teaches us.

    Have a great day!!! Dana

  16. Love the pic of the birdhouse with daggers of ice hanging from it! Isn't it amazing how difference the seasons are? We don't get much of that here. You have a lovely little spot out in the country there.

  17. Most of us hate change. But isn't it amazing how beautiful change can sometimes be? Mother Nature is the perfect example of this. And if we change for the better, the results can be just as beautiful as nature.

  18. Wow, I'm surprised you had any trees left.
