We had hotdogs for dinner…with toasted buns -cooked on the grill…yep, just shows that I’m “Foodie Friday” material…I think….well kinda, sorta.
Our dessert consisted of these little mini-cakes…and fresh strawberries straight from our vines…
…and roses, freshly cut …
…the little cakes were topped with pecans from my friends trees…
…and served on a vintage tole tray…
…defined by an old crochet piece made by my Grandmother…long ago, most likely before I was born…
…and eaten with a little monogrammed vintage fork from my husband’s late mother…
…this sorta made up for the hot dogs…
…the roses were symbolic ……see this for why…
…Buddy…on guard duty…I think…
Thanks for visiting with “Thoughtfully Blended Hearts”…
Recipe for the little cakes…from Pioneer Woman…she’s realllllyyyy good with chocolate cake.
