Outdoor Wednesday—not the ordinary

I’m going to participate in Outdoor Wednesday at A Southern Daydreamers site. I think we’re all dreaming of some beautiful spring and summer weather now but I’d like to show pictures of our recent ice storm. Our area is trying to become a National Disaster Area in order to get some help recovering from this storm. In all the horror of this ice storm there was so much beauty.

  1. Becky, I know how bad ice storms can be (I've only been in one, but that was enough!)... yet, these pictures are GORGEOUS! Hard to believe that something so lovely can be so deadly. Thanks, though, for capturing the beauty and sharing it with us. Hope all is well for your community soon...

    Happy Outdoor Wednesday!

    XO,

    Sheila :-)

  3. I so loved the pics. but I know from experience what damage it can do and how much havoc it can bring. But ice makes some of the most spectacular pictures.I hope things are getting back to normal for you all. Thanks for sharing.

  5. Nothing prettier than ice on trees, but it can cause such incredible damage.

  6. We have had a few of these ice storms in prior years. They are beautiful and yet scary. Were you without power? We weren't home during the last ice storm and when the power did come back on, it fried our computer. Other folks had trees come down on their homes, so I guess we were lucky.

  11. Beautiful pictures, Becky ... especially the first one of the mailbox.

It's a shame that ice storms create so much devastation along with the beauty.
