Look what we found on the streets of DC…
They really need some traffic regulations here…
Mom, you know you are the truest Patriot I’ve ever known, we did it for you today. We visited offices of legislators and met with them voicing our concerns and disappointments with our present government. Mom, we weren’t alone, DC was full of patriots today. Every office and hallway was full of citizens concerned with our government. Mom, Justin, Jackie and I talked personally with Senator Bob Corker of Tennessee!!! We even met with Senator Alexander’s (of Tennessee) chief of staff…
We told him what we were scared of…and there are a lot of scared people to keep us company in your good ole’ USA today. We feel like we’re doing some thing about “it”.
I’ve never heard the word Communist bounced around more in my entire life. Yes, Mom, there is a whole lot of very angry people here in your USA…They’re MAD and they’re not gonna take it anymore.
We’ve gotten the advice of “Keep up what you’re doing now, inundate all the offices with letters, calls and emails…(faxes don’t seem to work too well). Keep up all the calls, etc. everyday, study everything you can get your hands on…look for online blogs and Fox news…the mainstream news media is not telling the truth to us citizens. We have to be activists for ourselves since our government has been “hijacked”…I use that term with all its implications. Visit your representatives’ websites and sign up for emails and news from them.
Ray Jones and David Lowrance of Bartlett, Tn. and Germantown, TN.
Kristy Bilbrey of Cookeville, Tn….a small business owner, like my son, who is concerned about small business owners being crushed in every direction from government. She had to reduce her staff by many numbers….LOST JOBS….she wants to employ her people but government is making it impossible for to do so.
More of us “Right Wing Extremists”, from Memphis….wow aren’t they “evil”!!!! Look the one on the right is a MOBSTER, it says so on her button!!! oooohhhhhhh
More of us “EVIL” people…waiting for an early morning conference with Mr. Corker….the room was standing room only eventually…pretty good for a rainy Friday morning in DC…
The room was beginning to fill…
Thanks Sen. Corker, for treating us like concerned adults….not everyone treated us like you did.
One on one time….
Due to some incorrect directions, the three of us, Justin, Jackie and me, missed our scheduled appointment with an Alexander correspondent….These super nice people heard us trying to get another appointment and asked us to join them at their appointment…Can you believe that…and we did!!!! This is Grace and Brian Wruck, they’re from Morristown, Tn. and we’re their biggest fans.
David Morgenstern and Curtis Swager of Sen. Alexander’s office.
Justin and David….
This is how our feet feel!!!

We met with an intern at our Representative's office, John Tanner (we're all from the same hometown) she was polite…John came into the office while we were talking with this intern, he never spoke to us or acknowledged our presence…We were sitting about three feet from him…THREE VOTERS!!!
I’ll be back with more asap…
I’ve stated several times here that I am NOT a political blogger, but I have shared my views recently several times. It is so wonderful that Americans are so engaged in our politics now. It just doesn’t always win me many friends or influence much of anyone. I have chosen to take a political stand for two reasons…My husband spent twenty-five years of his life defending this country from attacks of all types in the submarine fleet of the US Navy.
The second reason that I am so adamant is because of my love for my Mother, I wrote about her here…No amount of writing could ever convey to anyone her patriotism, it was unique and it was earned from a lifetime of heartbreak and tragedy. It reminds me in many ways of the story of Ruth and Naomi in the Bible and I know you probably don’t see the relevancy but it is a story of the most enduring and selfless kind of love.
A Lifetime Ago…Mom and me….
Justin and his favorite “partner in crime”…
I have relatives that I love --bickering about my posts, good or bad-- I’m not sure -but I’ve definitely caused it. I’m just praying that it might open long lost lines of communication between a family spread so far from each other. Politics that hit this close to home are being dealt with by our representatives in DC. I’m not seeing these representatives understanding who they work for. I recently saw one individual tell his audience that they could not video “His” town hall meeting because it was “His”…Geeezze….I feel like I’m back in elementary school. Are they so frightened of us or of the truth??? I know that there are some good politicians, I met one of them recently, Bob Corker from Tennessee. I certainly don’t agree with everything he does but I saw “hope” in the form of a principled man with morality.
I’m leaving tomorrow to travel to DC with my wonderful son and my best friend for us to attend the 9-12 rally. We have appointments to talk with some of our representatives from Tennessee and I’m looking forward to meeting them.
Bob Corker…
Entrepreneur Son and Zoe
My son is a small business owner and a lot of our concerns are about small businesses being overlooked and overtaxed in this difficult economy. Small businesses keep so much of our nation going and the destruction of them will cripple our economy. Government only seems interested in preserving “BIG” businesses.
If your family member is a liver transplant patient…then this lady is his best friend…
Healthcare is another major concern of ours since my friend and my husband are both employed in this industry. It’s such a difficult profession to survive in for many reasons. If national healthcare is adopted, it could very well be the end of funding for the Veterans Administration…Sound outrageous…just wait…Veterans have always been one of our sacred cows along with Social Security and Medicare and funding is supposed to be coming from these two.
The appointment of Czars of this administration is such a troubling issue…why aren’t they vetted and where does their pay come from??? Are they paid from the White House budget??? If that is so, then I think that budget may be way over- inflated. I’ve heard no one discuss how their salaries are being met??? I know we eventually foot the bill and I don’t think I’m happy about it. Why don’t they have to go through any sort of committees that review their words, their associations, their beliefs or if they paid their taxes… I’m tired of someone who lies about his taxes telling the IRS to “stiffen regulations” to make sure we all pay our share. It’s the ultimate Double Standard and it is so wrong.
I’m leaving you with some Pretty pictures!!!
See ya later with lots of new photos!!!
