Some Pretty Good Snaps…

Last year was my first summer with a real camera, my Canon Rebel and I didn’t think I would ever get better photos of flowers…until this year…I got a few snaps recently…they were not my flowers since the weather and the bugs have pretty well wreaked havoc with things around my house this year but I have enjoyed these snaps…

I love Calla Lilies so the Japanese Beetles decided to make them their first meal at my house this year!!!
Just wait till next year…I’ll get ‘em…and it won’t be pretty for the bugs!!!

Tootsie is partaying again today...and this time it's a really good one...byob (bring your own blog) :-)

Flowers From Wisconsin

Some sights in Wisconsin that I enjoyed…Hope you do also!!!

This the front of a lovely flower shop right next door to the hotel we stayed in …

image

Right outside on their sidewalk…it was closed when we were there but I sure enjoyed the eye candy!!!

image

I tried so hard to get a good shot of the top of this little metal gazebo…it was decorated with grapevines and purple tulle and giant green and aqua dragonflies…

image

Here is a better shot of one of the dragonflies!!!

imageThe creativity of this display was amazing!!!

image  It’s probably a good thing they weren’t open, we were in our pickup truck and flowers don’t travel well for nine hours in the wind but I sure would have loved to have a bunch of these…

Waiting For The Call…

image

Glenn is still “WAITING FOR THE CALL”

You know …THE CALL…Hey Betsy from Tennessee

I thought about you this weekend…

imageGlenn Beck

While I was meeting this gentleman!!!

Yep…live and in person…

imageI got so excited that I jumped out of the car and ran into the bookstore with

my prescription sunglasses on…and

bringing no other glasses…bad move when you’re inside…

image

He held my hand and looked into my eyes…I don’t remember much after that…

Michael said he asked me where we were from and if we would be attending the

Bold Fresh Tour  that night…

image

Are you kidding???? That is what we were doing in St. Louis…

image

I just found out where he was having his new book signing…

THE OVERTON WINDOW

during a late breakfast and it was thirty miles from where we were…

image

We hopped into the car without me having the time to wash the

delectable apricot pancake syrup from my grubby little hands…

image

No time to waste…he would be at the book store from 12 to 1:30 and we had to drive…

image

We got there at one!!!

…and it was worth it!!!!!!!!!!!!!
