Mosaics on Monday…and a Metamorphosis of “Me”

Help, I’ve fallen into an alternate universe and I can’t get out of it…

I’m not a political activist…but I find myself fighting for my country at the age of fifty-seven. I believe grand babies and helping my children is what I should be doing now. I don’t want to be going to tea parties, rallies and political town meetings. I want the people that we hired to do their jobs and keep this a wonderful although imperfect country. I am lulled into an alternate universe….so now I have to begin campaigning, voicing the views of my family members since they all have to work, I have to protest, I have to go to political rallies, I have to test my endurance for marches on Washington… I have to be grateful to my God and my parents for giving me the courage to face my enemies…those who I lazily voted for and didn’t ask the hard questions of. I have to show my love for the country that so many heroes gave their lives for and fight to get it back. I have to fight for my God…and I can, it won’t be easy and it certainly isn’t what I’d like to be doing right now….but I will, right here on my little corner of the country. A commenter referred to my little town as “Mayberry USA” and I think that is a pretty good description.

Passionate about their God, their morals and their country…

No rich people, no famous people, no celebrities….just honest, moral, hard-working everyday people…..with a passion for life, love and liberty…

Please God, bless us in our pursuits, for among us are true believers.

A continuation of my political career (lol)…

Our local congressman has refused to hold a town hall meeting and has substituted with a telephone town hall. The following pictures are of a rally trying to get this congressman to hold a real live town hall meeting.

This event was held in a beautiful little park in the downtown area.

The man speaking in this photo is the nineteenth most decorated soldier in the United States…he is a local HERO…

The American Hero is a friend of my personal hero, hubby…I wonder how many years of service to our country is shared by these two guys…hubby spent twenty-five years mostly UNDER the oceans of our world.

This is a beautiful old fountain in this little park…I’ve always loved it.

I’m proud to call these two lovely ladies new friends, they live in a neighboring town that is included in our congressional district.

A local radio personality who says he is proud to be a West Tennessee resident.

Did I mention that it was HOT, HOT, Hot.

The phrase I kept hearing as I was among all of these people was… “I’ve never been to anything like this but everyone sure is nice.”

People liked the free bumper stickers from a local radio station.

I was standing behind these two people and they didn’t even know each other…what a photo opp!
